"Burgundian" sallet after the piece owned by Ulrich von Matsch, Milan cca 1450, original of the helmet is now at the Churburg castle, Italy

The helmet is raised from 13ga (helmet itself) and 14ga (visor) mild steel, then carburized, hardened and tempered, with final hardness little under 50HRC. The padded liner is hand sewn from linen cloth, hand made lace to set the liner. Buff leather for straps. Hand forged decorative rivets.
