Norman style conical helmet. Forged in one piece of C45 mid carbon steel, all parts hardened and tempered. Rough from the hammer with light polish to remove scaling from the heat treating.
Thickness of the helmet is 14ga (2,0mm) + on the top, 16 ga (1,6mm) on most of the parts, 18ga (1,2mm) on the very edge on sides. Nasal 12 ga (2,5mm). Includes simple leather webbing to fit over coif. Buff leather for straps. Helmet fits 60 cm head best, when cap and coif are worn. Measurements inside the leather webbing are length: 24cm or 9 3/8" width: 19,5cm or 7 5/8"
